Memphis music has always been known around the world for its signature features. The science of melodically, rhythmically and lyrically exploring the limited range of human emotions, in order to create emotionally connective music, is a core value proposition that we set out to commercially validate. The Made in Memphis Entertainment Record Label will feature unique artists delivering powerfully engaging music. From the first note, our songs will be recognizable as being “Made in Memphis.”

Quality music goes beyond a mere listening experience and reaches out and touches you in ways that you may not have expected. This emotional connectivity is at the core of what makes a song timeless. MIME is the vehicle for commercially validating the building blocks of timeless music. As a record label, we are committed to creating an environment that brings all of the stakeholders (songwriters, musicians, producers, artists and fans) into the same studio environment to allow the energy to drive the creative process. We are investing in having core rhythm sections that will work from our production space in pursuit of a signature sound.

Cultivating Local Talent

We are open to bringing talent from anywhere to the global stage. We believe if you are talented enough to be signed to our record label, you have what it takes to make it in this industry. We are keenly aware of the deep reservoir of talent in the Mid-South region of the United States and Memphis, TN, in particular. This talent pool has lacked opportunity and we are working to create the appropriate platforms for these artists to shine brightly.

Revitalizing the Music Business in Memphis, TN

The amazing thing about darkness is that it hides what is present and can lead to the illusion that because it is not visible it does not exist. The spotlight no longer shines on Memphis like it once did and as a result there is a deeply held belief that what once existed in Memphis has ceased to exist. This has led many to abandon the creative aspects of music, that put Memphis on the map, and attempt to conflate the music industry in Memphis with tourism. Memphis doesn’t have to be the place where great music was once made, rather Memphis should be known as the place where great music will always be made. We are working to turn the spotlight back on Memphis so that all of the creative assets that are resident here can have access to the global stage.

Made in Memphis Entertainment is the embodiment of the melding of legacy and youthfulness! We are ushering in a movement that will inspire a new generation of creatives that are motivated to master their craft and leave an inheritance of rich, soulful music for generations to enjoy.
